Thursday runs late because that is the evening people come after work with a folder of records, and Saturday morning is the busiest two hours of the week. You do not need an appointment to drop a document off or to collect one, and most of what we do never requires anybody to come in at all.

Before you make the journey
Most of this can be done without it. A photograph of the document is enough to quote from, a PDF goes back to you the working day it is finished, and paper only has to be collected if you asked for paper. Coming in is worth it when the document is the only copy, when it is fragile or handwritten, or when the question is really about what the letter you were sent means.
